Your proposal must identify your topic, give a good introduction of its importance, provide the history of the policy you are writing about, the pros and cons of your choices in that policy, and a conclusion. Consider the Proposal assignment to be the first draft of your final project. It ensures that you are on the right track. As such, you are not being asked to start fresh for the final project. Build on your proposal, incorporate your feedback, and if approved, move forward to crafting your final document. Your proposal should be roughly 300 original words separate from your Works Cited page listing in MLA format of the 3 primary sources and any supplemental sources you will use. Failure to submit a proposal will result in the assignment being incomplete.
