Assignment: Research Portfolio

As part of your final project, you will assemble the research materials you’ve been using for the last few weeks into a Research Portfolio, along with a brief reflective memo. This portfolio is meant to demonstrate the process by which you organized your research, and to provide the instructor with easy access to sources they may need to verify or understand your Researched Argument Essay.

Your Research Portfolio is required to contain the following:

PDF files of full articles, downloaded from the academic database:
You should have at least four, as four sources are required
If one article is unavailable as a PDF, contact the instructor – I will help you create a file to upload
A brief reflective memo, which addresses these questions:
What did you learn about your own research process? What works for you when reading and understanding sources?
What was the most difficult aspect of this process?
What was the most interesting thing you learned through your research?

OPTIONAL: Any scans or images of research notes that you think are relevant, or that illustrate your research process

You can take pictures with your phone and upload the files, or scan documents to PDF.
This piece is optional, but can help make the depth of your research clear to the instructor

Your reflective memo should be a separate .doc or .PDF file, and should be formatted to meet MLA guidelines. When finished, it should be 1-2 pages long and carefully proofread.

You will upload all materials in one submission to this dropbox. You may attach as many files as needed to a single submission. Simply click “Browse My Computer” and select each file.

I will expect to see 4 PDFs of articles, and one written reflection in either .docx or .PDF format.
