Research question to answer: How Did Suburban Development and Domesticity Shape Women’s Activism in Queens, New York, 1945-1968?
The thesis statement in the introduction paragraph must be the answer to the question, then the rest of the essay will be supporting evidence.
· Double-spaced, 1-inch margins, typed, page #s.
· All references must be cited using Chicago style footnotes, whether paraphrasing or directly quoting material. Any instance of plagiarism will result in a zero on the assignment with no opportunity to rewrite.
· Cite the introduction to the project.
· Cite at least one scholarly journal article or book on the topic: JSTOR, academic search premier, Humanities International, and Genderwatch, are all good choices. Articles must be from peer-reviewed journals and books must be written by scholars.
· Do not use popular sources or non-academic sources. This means no websites that are not associated with a university, museum, historical society, etc.
Minimum 2000 word paper (not counting footnotes) using at least 6 primary sources, and three secondary sources. I will give you the primary source documents you can use. All 6 primary sources HAVE TO be from the documents I give you, secondary sources are from articles from peer-reviewed journals or books written by scholars.
